There is so much school news in the growing Fort Mill, SC area!

  • Development on Catawba Ridge High School in Fort Mill continues and is still scheduled to open in August 2019.
  • Construction on the new Indian Land High School also progresses, with that school opening in 2020. Once the new school opens, the location of lower schools will shift, with some middle school grades occupying the old high school.
  • Two new elementary schools are in the development phase, and are also scheduled to open for the 2020–2021 school year. Kingstown Elementary School, located on Mason’s Bend Road, and River Trail Elementary School, located near Catawba Ridge High School on the Fort Mill Southern Bypass, have both recently appointment principals and named mascots.   • Forest Creek Middle School is located on Whites Road adjacent to the Catawba Ridge High School site and is scheduled to open for the 2021-2022 school year. The school board recently selected the coyote as this school’s mascot.
