Here’s the latest news and information for the Fort Mill School District.

  • The district just released it’s 2019-2020 school calendar (link here). Now you can make plans around workdays and school vacations.
  • Kindergarten registration will be underway on March 1! For more information and for instructions on how to register, see this PDF flyer.
  • The new Catawba Ridge High School, scheduled to open in the 2019-2020 school year, has released information to help transition incoming freshman to high school – and to the brand new school. Here’s a look at the PDF presentation.
  • The new high school also has a “fast fact sheet” which highlights the offerings of the new high school, including 14 sports offerings and 20 varsity sports teams, 27 clubs and student organizations, many fine arts offerings. Here’s the PDF fact sheet.
  • The next school board meeting is March 5 at 6 pm.
  • Springfield Middle School was recently designated as a “School to Watch” by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform, which honors middle schools based on “strong academics, sensitivity to young adolescents’ needs and interests, and commitment to providing all students equal access to a high-quality education resulted in the well-deserved recognition.”
